Two Tulsa Public Schools 5th grade teachers were selected as 2024 Oklahoma Colonial Williamsburg fellows. Shana Ramirez from Zarrow International School and Jennifer Coonfield Kelly from Eisenhower International School were selected to attend the institute this June. 

The Colonial Williamsburg Teacher Institute, held in Virginia’s historic capital, offers immersive experiences in early American history for educators. Fellowships cover expenses for selected Oklahoma teachers, including program activities, travel, lodging, meals, and materials stipend. The institute explores colonial life and the shift to citizenship during the Revolutionary War. The Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence has facilitated Oklahoma’s participation since 1993.
